About the Postal Match Event – Members Only
The OGC Postal Match is for Members and family only. It is great fun and it gives shooters a goal to achieve as well as a reason to practice and improve his / hers shooting skills. The term “Postal” refers to the manner targets are exchanged through the US Mail.
The events are:
- Handgun (Revolver) @ 10 Yards, open sights, timed fire.
- Handgun (Autoloader) @ 10 Yards, open sights, timed fire.
- Handgun (Rimfire) @ 10 Yards, open sights, timed fire.
- Handgun Unlimited 100 Yards, any caliber, any sight.
- Lever Action @ 100 Yards, scope, timed fire.
- Lever Action @ 100 Yards, iron sights, timed fire.
- Rimfire Rifle @ 100 Yards, any sight, timed fire.
- Hunting Rifle (.270 Min Cal) @ 100 Yards, scope, timed fire.
- Hunting Rifle (.270 Min Cal) @ 100 Yards, iron sights, timed fire.
- Varmint Rifle @ 200 Meters, scope, timed fire.
- Varmint Rifle @ 200 Meters iron sights, timed Fire
- Black Powder Cartridge Rifle @ 200 yards. Scope, timed fire.
You have all summer to complete your events using the honor system.
When you have completed your events, return the score targets by US mail to Don Nelson by September 15, 2021.
The top shooter in each event will receive his/her $5.00 Grand Prize and, of course, have bragging rights knowing he or she is “TOP GUN” in the OGC Postal Match. In addition, the top competitor in each of the twelve events will be recognized in the OGC Newsletter.
