About the Permit to Carry Class
Minnesota law requires a Permit to Carry in order to carry a firearm concealed or openly in a public place. This Permit to Carry lasts for 5 years and also acts as a Permit to Purchase.
In order to apply for a Permit to Carry, a member of the public must first attend a class held by an instructor certified by an instructor organization that has been approved by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Oakdale Gun Club hosts several instructors who provide these classes. You can learn more about these instructors on our Instructor page, and may find upcoming classes on our Event Calendar.
