Introduction to Firearms for Women

Do you want to learn about guns?

This 1 evening + 1-day informational workshop, taught by certified safety instructors, is a way for Women to get their basic questions about firearms answered in a safe, friendly, casual, women-only environment.

The workshop consists of one evenings of classroom discussion. Then experience a day of hands on range time on a Saturday. You do not need to own a firearm or have any previous shooting experience to take this class.

A wide variety of firearms will be provided at no extra cost for those who wish to try them during the range session. This course neither promotes the ownership of firearms nor will any be offered for sale during the course. This class is open to the public. You must be at least 18 years of age to take this class, unless accompanied by a parent. Other restrictions may apply.

The cost of this course is $50 and must be prepaid to hold your registration. The class is limited to 30 women on a first come basis. This class is held once a year in the spring.

The 2017 Class has been scheduled.

  • Thursday, April 27th from 6pm to 9pm in the classroom at OGC
  • Saturday, April 29th from 9:00am to 5:00pm (9:00a-12:00p meet in the OGC classroom, 12p-1p lunch, 1:00p-5:00p shoot one-on-one with instructors)
  • Must attend 4/27 class to be able to shoot 4/29.
